Why PDF Copilot is your ultimate AI tool for working with PDFs
Detailed and context-aware responses
Imagine you’re reviewing a 200-page contract for your client. Instead of scrolling through endless sections, simply ask PDF Copilot, “What are the key client obligations in this document?” and it will not only give you a concise answer but also highlight the exact locations of those parts. PDF Copilot remembers your previous queries, so when you ask a follow-up like, “Does the contract have this clause?” it gives a contextually relevant answer based on your earlier conversation.
- Receive more elaborate answers that include thorough explanations, making the information easier to understand.
- PDF Copilot digests any changes in the document, allowing the chat to operate on the latest version of the document.
- Answer Formatting: From now on, answers fully support markdown formatting in text, including quotes and code segments.
More advanced features to enhance productivity
Stumbled upon an unknown term in the paper? Just choose this phrase, activate the context menu, and tap the ‘Explain’ action. PDF Copilot will provide a detailed explanation of the term right away. You can also use a contextual menu to get quick translations of specific terms, phrases, or text sections.

- Interact with PDFs directly through chat: highlight and underline text within the PDF that is being referenced.
Intuitive and accessible interface
To help you work quickly with PDF Copilot, we’ve added prompt suggestions based on the document content. For example, if you open an academic paper on macroeconomic trends, you might see prompts like, “What is the current state of the labor market?” or ‘Main economic effects of the aging population in Europe” to start your journey with PDF Copilot.
- Work with PDFs more easily using introductory messages and helpful prompts suggesting possible follow-up questions.
- Easily navigate to specific parts of the PDF doc where insights are being referenced.
Effortlessly manage and utilize your chat history
Want to provide a reading recommendation to your students but don’t have time to read the whole book? Open a document and ask PDF Copilot to summarize it. Export the summary as plain text via email and send it out to students—easy and efficient!
- We’ve made it easy to copy, export, or clear your chat responses. This flexibility ensures that you can retain important information and manage your data as you want.
- Exporting or copying messages in Chat will now produce a more readable and formatted output.
