These Back To School Giveaway Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and the Back to School Giveaway Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) govern the terms of the “Tag Your Study Buddy & Win PDF Expert Premium!” Back to School Giveaway ("Giveaway"). These Terms prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

By participating in the Giveaway, you represent and warrant that:

You have read, understand, and have the legal capacity to, and with this agree to be legally bound by and to comply with these Terms in full;
You are 16 years of age or older.

Promotional Period

The Giveaway begins on 26 August 2025 and ends on 10 September 2025 at 18:00 CET (“Entry Period”). Winners will be announced on 11 September 2025 on @pdf.expert.app Instagram account.

Entry Requirements

Participation is free of charge. In order to participate in the Giveaway the Participant has to:

follow @pdf.expert.app on Instagram and Threads and
tag the account of another user in the comments section of the designated Giveaway post on Instagram during the Entry Period.

There is no limit to the number of comments an individual Participant may submit, provided that each comment features a unique account tag. Each distinct user account may only be tagged once. Only comments posted directly to the Instagram Giveaway post will be deemed eligible. Entries containing duplicate tags, tags previously used by the same participant in another comment, or entries lacking any tags will be disqualified.

Incomplete, irrelevant, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost due to technical reasons or not received for any reason.

Awards and Winner Selection

Two winners will be randomly selected: one eligible participant and the individual whose Instagram account was tagged in that participant's comment.

Each winner will be granted a 1-year PDF Expert Premium Yearly cross-platform subscription (hereinafter referred to as an "Award").

Awards must be accepted as offered by the Promoter. There is no cash or alternative award, in whole or in part.

Winners shall bear full responsibility for any and all taxes arising from the receipt and acceptance of the Award.

Winner Notification

Winners will be contacted via Instagram DM. They must provide additional information (e.g., name, email) within ten calendar days of the notification.

If a winner declines or fails to provide the necessary information, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the award entitlement.

It is the Participant's responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date information. The Promoter is not responsible for any failures due to incorrect details.

General

Eligibility. Participants who breach any provision of these Terms, or whom the Promoter reasonably determines to have breached any such provision, shall be deemed ineligible and shall forfeit any entitlement to receive any awards. In addition, the Promoter reserves the right to refuse and reclaim Awards from ineligible Participants or if the Participant violated any provision of these Terms.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, THE GIVEAWAY IS VOID, AND PERSONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY, IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE LOCAL LAW, RULES, OR REGULATIONS (I) RESTRICT, PROHIBIT, OR OTHERWISE REQUIRE CHANGES, DELETIONS, OR ADDITIONS TO THESE TERMS, OR (II) REQUIRE GOVERNMENTAL FILINGS BY PROMOTER.

Participants located in, or nationals or residents of, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions by the U.S. Government, the European Union, or the United Kingdom are ineligible to participate in the Giveaway.

Social media platform disclaimer. This Giveaway is not sponsored or administered by Instagram, Threads, X or Facebook.

Force Majeure and Cancellation. The Promoter may cancel or amend the Giveaway in cases of tampering, fraud, or other causes beyond its control.

Severability. If any clause is deemed unenforceable, the remaining clauses shall remain valid.

Limitation of Liability

Entry is at the Participant’s sole risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from participation or Award acceptance.

The Promoter is not responsible for technical issues or any problems affecting entries, notifications, or Award fulfillment.

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are exclusively governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved via amicable means. If we cannot reach a consensus through negotiations, the dispute shall be settled exclusively in the national courts of the Republic of Ireland, subject to its jurisdiction rules, with the applicable substantive law of the Republic of Ireland.

This Privacy Notice applies in connection with the “Tag Your Study Buddy & Win PDF Expert Premium!” Back to School Giveaway ("Giveaway") and explains what personal data Readdle Limited, registration No. 630281 (“Readdle”), collects, stores, processes, and uses as a controller. This means Readdle determines the purposes and means of personal data processing as described below.

Data we Process

We process the following data collected from you:

We process the data for the described purpose within the term of the Giveaway. After that we delete all nicknames and comments from our systems. Nickname, email address of the winners and communications may be processed further to provide the Award and access to the app only.

Data Sharing with Third Parties

We may share certain personal data with Readdle affiliates and the third parties performing services for us. To obtain the full list of our processors, you may contact us as described in the ‘Your Rights’ section.

We also may be obliged to transfer some of your data to law enforcement bodies and other public authorities to comply with a government request, court order, or applicable law, protect against claims of third parties, or help prevent or investigate fraud.

We may share personal data with third parties outside the EEA. To ensure compliance with the GDPR and protect your data, such transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decisions or the Standard Contractual Clauses, supported with additional data protection technical and organizational safeguards.
